College inspired outfits

Hello everyone! I know I its been a while since I last posted, it's because work has been crazy and I recently started college and everything just got crazy all of a sudden.

Since I started college and I no longer have to wear uniforms *happy dance* but this meant that I have to put outfits together all the time! So I decided to make it a bit easier for some of you guys out there and so I put some pieces together.

How to style Birkenstocks

Birkenstocks!!! THE most talked about sandals today! There are a lot of different of opinions about these babies, some like/love them and some eh not so much. Personally I adore and love them, they just have this trendy and unique look to it. BUT! Even if I like them, I don't own one. Why you may ask, well because it doesn't look flattering on my feet, it makes my feet look huge! I love seeing it on other people but not on me. 

Birkenstocks are very hard to style and I have seen a lot of people wear them, and I just end up cringing. So here are some ways to style them.

Kendra's vacation lookbook

Hello everyone! This post will be a summer vacation lookbook for Kendra Thornton. She emailed me personally asking me to make a lookbook for her upcoming Vacation to Dream South beach Miami Hotel, and she needed a few fashion bloggers help. So thankful that she thought I had cool fashion sense. I hope she likes at least one of the looks I made :)

The first set of clothes I did was the "arrival" look, she mentioned in her email that she wanted to look "attractive and memorable" when she arrives, and wearing an all black maxi dress with a floppy hat and huge sunglasses will definitely make you look memorable!

The second option is the black romper. She said she would like to wear a dress, but seeing this romper just makes me remember "attractive and memorable". The peekaboo detail that it has in the front is such a must! Its giving that, "I'm vacation ready" look.

This second look that we have is for the spa treatment that she talked about. I wanted to give the more laid back look. I feel like the flowy skirt and floppy hat will make her look like a Princess in hiding. This is one of those outfits that are perfect for just a chill day; shopping and or watching the sunset, which she said she would love to have with her husband.

The third look is my personal favorite! The bohemian look it has due to the cover up is fantastic, the fedora hat is a must for this look. I think without the hat, the look will be too dull.

Kendra mentioned FDR at Delano and the dress on the left speaks "night club". The no sleeve dress is perfect for showing off those great tan! And the slit it has on the front is very sexy, which is very appropriate for a night out.

The dress on the right is for a nice romantic dinner for the lovely couple. Everyone has to have those in their vacation with their special someone. 

Lastly, the lazy days spent on the beach side or pool side. When you have nothing on your schedule and just want to work on your tan, you still have to look good doing it! I didn't use much colors for the outer layers and its because I wanted all the colors to be on the Bikinis. My favorite has to be the middle and right bikini.

How to style Pinafores

Hello everyone. The trend that I have been really loving are pinafore dress. I see Alexa Chung and Danielle Bernstein wear them a lot and I just adore them! I bought 2 of them from the thrift store, they are wayyy too long so I will actually do a DIY and that would also be posted,  I just don't know when. 

There are many ways in which you can style Pinafores, which I love. You can wear it for many different occasions. Shopping, dinner, concerts, painting, cooking, blahblah... You get the point. 

You can pair them with bold prints; florals, dots, stars, etc. But unlike me, I only went for the stripes. This is the outfit that I cannot wait to wear for spring and summer!

Hello everyone! I wanted to show you guys the ways I style my uniform, and maybe give you guys an idea as well.

My uniform consist of a Yellow polo shirt and Khaki pants. *blahh* Uniforms can be boring if you don't get creative.

1. Oversized knit sweater is a must for me! I feel like it gives so much to the look.

2. Scarves, I have soo many scarves its crazy. I don't think I've ever gone to school without a scarf when Winter time came. I think its a great statement piece because it comes in many sizes and colors.

3. Boots, like I said in my last post, boots have been my favorite thing to wear this Winter. They are warm and very very stylish.

4. LIPSTICK! Whenever I wear a popping colored lipstick, I feel so pretty. It just adds more color and doesn't make you look dull.
5.  Of course the hair! I like to curl my hair *like the picture shown above* I have many ways I do my hair, but loose curls is my fave.

Hello everyone! Happy New Years!!!!!! I hope 2014 will be a great year for all of us!

This outfit was absolutely lovely! I wanted to bring out my boyish side. And also, the word on the sweater inspired the look. I didn't want to wear the sweater with something girly. I tried my best to look "boyish" I think I did pretty well. But its not all too tomboy because of the color of the sweater, which is a great mixture. Can you guys tell that I tried to pull of a "boy" face. I don't know, I thought it would finish off the look. hahah.

December favorites

Hello everyone its time for yet another monthly favorites! Time really does pass veryyy quickly! Lets get started, these are a lot so try to keep up.

Candles

When winter time comes, I feel like its the perfect time for candles because it just adds that festive feeling and its cold out so when I see a candle lit up, it makes me feel warm????? 

Beauty

Nails: I have been loooving these 2 colors, the mint green and the sky blue. The colors really remind me of winter, the cool color. I think cause mint is so minty? *THAT MADE NO SENSE, maybe I should stop*

Concealer: I don't wear lots of make up because I break out very easily. But, I just had to go and look for a concealer because senior year has been kicking butt! I have been sooo stressed with essays and exams every week, studying and all that jazz equals eye bags!! So, to hide it, CONCEALER. I have been using maybelline fit me concealer #20, I really like how it blends in so easily with my skin.

Lipstick:  I love lipstick and when I buy them, I usually go for a colored one. But, this time I went for a nudey color. You can barely see this when I wear it, so when I wear it, I wear it lipgloss and it really is nice.

Face Wipes: I sometime get really lazzzyyy to was my face *I know horrible* and so I just whip these babies on my face and it does the job. I really like this Biore face wipes because it does seem like my face gets cleaned when I use it.

Fashion

Pants: When winter time rolls around, I go towards the dark side so my Black Jeans/Pants are a must! I have honestly only worn my black pants all December! And you can never ever go wrong.

Boots: These boots I bought early December and I've been wearing it A LOT! I get so much complements on them *Thats why I wear them* AND ITS FROM TARGET! Eeverytime I tell people that they get surprised because it looks pricey.

Fragrance

Juicy Couture: "Peace, love, and Juicy" I've had this for a while now, I'm not the best at describing perfume scents so im not even going to try! It just smells really good!

Burberry: This is the Burberry Brit Sheer!

Tv show

ALMOST HUMAN!!! You do not know how happy and excited I was when I heard that Michael Ealy was starring in another show! I loved him in Common Law as Travis and I was sooo mad when they cancelled the show! But, now he's on another Cop show, BUT! This time he's a robot, but not just any robot "a robot that was made to be as human as possible" *que sexy robot music* And Karl Urban isn't so bad in the sexy human department, he does have synthetic leg! BOTH  men are gorgeous!

Person

Danielle Bernstein is my hero when it comes to street style. I just love how she pairs things and her coats are on point!

Hello everyone, I know its been a while since I last uploaded and thats because my internet was out the whole wee, but, thankfully it came back last night! I was inspired by one of the teachers in my school with this look, she just looked so preppy and I loved it. I wanted to recreate it and add my own twist. Since all the colors are very dull, I wanted the tights to have designs to have that be the "popping" piece! I hope you guys like it :)

Hello everyone, I realized that I have been posting lots of things about Christmas and I decided to post Christmas gift ideas for the gentlemen. I'm pretty sure you girls have men in your life that you would like to give a gift to this holiday. Or there are guys reading this who want to buy some for themselves or their significant other :). 1: I just love this "Panta Claus" pants, I don't know if its the name that got me or the colors! Its both cute. I think a man who would buy this has to be bold enough to wear it, it is a great piece. I already see my friend wearing this actually!
2: Cardigan "Cortina Cardigan" I love men in cardigans. They just have this nice polished finished look that it gives them and more guys need to wear cardigans! If I had a boyfriend for I would totally buy them this cardigan, and its the perfect color for the holidays!
3: Wallet/Credit card case. Men don't really carry much around with them, they usually just carry money and cards in their pockets. This would be a great gift, simple, yet thoughtful!
4: Another cardigan "The livingstone cardigan" I cannot stress enough about cardigans. I can say compare to the other cardigan this is my fave, its the design that got me and the collar it has. It gives off that preppy/business man look.
5: Handkerchief "The Herald square" great colors and design, love the polka dots! It doesn't even have to be for the men, it can also be the ladies *I know I wouldn't mind* It comes in lots of different colors so there's many to choose from.
6: Carryall "Billykirk" This is such a nice color, again it can be gifted towards the ladies as well due to the color. This is a great holiday present, especially if you have lots of vacation coming up and its a great use!

My Christmas wish list

Hello everyone, today I wanted to share with you guys what I wanna get for Christmas this year. The list isn't the most extravagant, I don't have anything that's super out there its actually all affordable. 

1) Two of my favorite girls are on my wish list, Alexa Chung and Mindy Kaling. I really really wanna read their books, especially Mindy's "Is everyone hanging out without me?" I love her show and she's hillarious so I'm pretty sure this book will be too, and the fact that a lot of people have said that its a good book! 

2) One Direction's new album "Midnight Memories" AAAHHHHH I want it!! Need I say more?

3) Forever 21 socks, I have been looking at socks from F21 and they are soo cute. I mean I don't really mind where its from as long as its cute :) 

4) Nars lipstick. I don't have a specific color that I want, but I did see my friends Nars lipstick and it looks flawless. I believe it was called a "Candy Pink"

5) I want a journal! My little blog journal isn't half way filled out yet but I feel like I need a new one *horrible* but you can never have enough. I really like this one from Urban Outfitters.

Winter wish list

Hello everyone so its December and its finally time to make a Winter must have list, here are some of mine.
1. I really really want a  big cute animated Sweater *Loki inspired please* Eeverytime I see someone with it I cringe in jealousy.haha
2. A checkered top. Actually anything checkered, I really love how it looks but the thing is that not a lot of people can pull them off and I'm scared that I cant either :(
3. Parka!!  I have been  wanting one since forever! I just actually purchased mine last 2 weeks ago and I have been loving it. Since I have already purchased it, you're probably asking why its still in my list, well because its an amazing jacket and you guys should know that and it should also be in your list! :)
4. Jeans. I have lots of dark denim *black in particular* all my light colored jeans are nowhere to be found, and if  they are light color they happen to be distressed.
5. UGG boots! Since it is winter you can not forget about the ugg boots. I was told to choose between my booties *that I always wear* or uggs and as you all know I chose my beloved Booties:) Now I want an ugg boots, and no I do not regret choosing the booties because I love it!

Monthly Favorites: November

Hello everyone! So I wanted to start this new thing on my blog "Monthly favorites" I got this idea from Zoella, she's a famous British youtuber and blogger. On her youtube videos she would share products that she's been loving with her viewers, and so I thought I'd do the same for you guys. Hope you guys like it.

Clothing

1. I have been loving the boyfriend jeans this month, I don't really know why. I think it's cause its so comfy and rugged.

2. My parka!!! Ahh I have been wanting one for soo long and I finally got one *Forever 21* Its amazing! Its huge and soooo warm! Totally recommend.

3. Booties, I have been wearing these booties since I got them *as you saw in my last couple posts* They just go so well with everything and thats perfect!

4. Sweaters, knitted sweaters are always a must for this crazy cold sweater!

Beauty

1. Nivea lip shine is my absolute favorite during the cold weather! Its 3 in 1! 1. Its a lip moisturizer, perfect for chappy lips in the cold. 2. Its shiny, its adds a girly look. 3. It has a redish pinkish color. Its perfect because sometimes I don't wanna put on lipstick and I just go for nivea!

2. Revlon eye liner. It stays on the whole day!!!!! GO BUY!

3. EOS!!! I have been loving these little bad boys ever since I discovered them 3 years ago! I have tried all the flavors except Vanilla and the purple one, *Vanilla is limited edition* 

Hair

1. Fructis shampoo. I have very crazy curly hair! If you have curly hair, you know how hard it is to find the perfect shampoo and conditioner! I have tried many shampoos that make my hair shiny BUT dull. And shampoos that make my hair Voluminous BUT dry! But this shampoo is perfect, it makes my hair: Shiny and soft without making it dull and flat. 

2. Herbal Essence! I use the Herbal Essence Curl boosting Level 2 Mousse. Its great! Idk what to say about it really. haha.

TV Show

Once Upon a Time! Its on its 3rd Season and I looove it! They kinda slacked 2nd season, but they totally redeemed themselves this season!!! Team Captain Swan! *Any once upon a time fans?*

Person

Whitney Port! I love her style! She's not afraid to try prints and colors, which I love. Since she lives in New York where its cooold, I have been looking into her Winter/Fall fashion and I love it!   

Thanksgiving outfit2

Hello! So this is my final post for the "Thanksgiving outfit ideas" and this is THE outfit that I will be wearing. Like I said in my last post, I wanted something that I can move around in and this is definitely the outfit for that! Also, Thanksgiving is known for its food! I would be eating a ton, so I wanted something loose fitting so I can stack on the food! Hahaha! Hope you guys like it! :)

Hello! So as yo all know Thanksgiving is next week and I have been thinking a lot about what I will wear. This is my first option. My family will be having dinner at my aunt's house and I wanted something dressy but still laid back, something I can move in. I like the colors that I used for this outfit, very "Fall". Also its dressy but still casual with the shorts. 

Favorites

Hello Hello! Today is all about my favorite beanies and scarves! I have been loving them for the cold weather, its been really cold lately and they're such a nice statement piece.

First beanie is not mine, its my mom's. *you go mom* I "borrowed" it from her 'cause the color is pretty, maroon is just lovely. I also like the cap effect, I wear it by having the tail *if thats what their called* in the back but I like to wear it the other way around as well once in a while.

My purple beanie! Favorite out of all my beanies! *mainly cause its purple* I bought this at Ross. I like that its big and I have a huge head. hahah! Thats why its my fave! :) Kidding.

This beanie I've had for the longest, 3 years now I believe. I bought it in China town New York. It was really really cold and I chose the wrong day not to have a hat/beanie so I bought one. I would not have bought it if it wasn't for the bow in the side. Its soo cute!

Now to scarves!!!

I have tons of scarves in my closet! But these are the scarves i've been using a lot lately. 

This peachy pink scarf is a birthday gift from my aunt and I absolutely love it! It's just so soft. I really love the fact that its long so I can use it tons of different ways. 

This one is Calvin Klein, its a cream color with gold stripes *ahh so pretty*  Its an infinity scarf or circle scarf for some people. I just love circle scarves cause their usually really chukie, and you can use it as a scarf or as a hat! Like shown in the picture on the right. Sometimes I forget a beanie and it comes in handy!

 Lastly! This scarf is from my cousin *almost all of these are given to me. haha* It's an infinity scarf yet again, AND its huge!!! This scarf is up to my shoulder and I'm 5'2, so that's pretty big! It takes about 4 loops around my neck its really really big and its great for the really really cold weather. I haven't used it this year yet because it hasn't been that cold to need a big scarf as big as this one!

Tights

There's just something about tights that make me feel so girly! I don't know why. I really like how the booties look with the tights, this is why I wanted to buy booties because I wanted to pair it with tights. Starting from the skirt down, the outfit looks dressy, but pairing it with a knitted sweater gives it a good laid back look! Enjoy :)

Rainy Days

Rainy days! They make you soo lazy! Make you not want to try at all with your outfit! Well, you can always look good even though its raining cats and dogs outside! During rainy days, its the day to get comfortable. Look for the coziest sweaters and the shoes you don't mind ruining. 

Haul: Forever 21, Nordstrom, Gap, & Macy's

Hello! I have not done a Haul post in a really long time, so here it is! Almost all of the things I bought this time were all on my fall wish list! Which I am very happy about! So lets start this off! You will also see that all of these things I bought can ALL be paired together! :)

Forever 21

I don't think I can ever go to the mall without going to Forever 21! So the first pair I have is this banded pants! I have been dying to buy one for so long, but I could never find the one I really like. They have a lot of different designs, and this was the only design I liked so I opted for this one! 

I can't wait to wear this with my new black booties. And then for the summer I could pair it with cute sandals.

Second thing I bought at F21 is this Lavender color top. Its cotton in the middle front and sheer on the sides, and the same goes for the back. I wasn't suppose to buy this but when I was in line to pay, I saw the color and it looked soo pretty and it was a really good price!!! $11

This is another pair of off my Fall wish list. A really cute knit sweater with a nice design! It seems warm, it would be perfect on one of those lazy days for school. 

This Romper was actually on sale, well its a summer outfit and when seasons change that's when things go on sale! I will of course wear this for the summer, BUT!!!!! I can also wear this now for fall! Just throw on  tights and my new booties and I'm good to go! *I'm talking highly about those booties*

Dress1

Just cause it's getting chilly does not mean you can't buy dresses! I actually looked for the dresses thats appropriate for all seasons! So I can wear them all year round. 

Dress2

This dress I have been dying to get my hands on! There are 3 different designs to this dress *flowers, polka dots, and stars* I was planning on getting the floral one,but then I thought of all the floral things I have in my closet, and I didn't have stars so I decided to go for this one! I also wanted this dress to be more loose and kinda hanging and so I got it a size bigger, Medium would be great on me but I went for Large. I actually can not wait till I wear this! Tights, booties, and safari jacket! Ahh cant't wait!

Dress3

The first time I saw this dress was over the summer and it was in the color Gold and Black, I decided not to get it. And I later regretted that choice because I really really liked it! So months later, I saw it again but this time its Blue and Black *Which i much prefer* Its fate!

 Accessories!!

I love my new rings! They are soo cute! My favorite is the 3 rd ring. I have been loving Gold lately and I wanna buy more things with gold on them :)

Who doesn't love a good bow necklace! So cute and girly!.

This bracelet is soo cute and simple I had to have! And it was only $1. It looks kinda fragile so I'm scared to wear them.

Gap

I think the must have for fall is a pair really nice tights *i prefer black* They were 2 for $20 and I just had to buy! I know cant really tell but the tights in front with the sticker is a plain balck, and the one in the back has designs on them. 

Nordstrom

Now! To the most awaited!! I've been talking about it soo much! I've been DYING to get my hands on a nice pair of booties! I just really love how they add so much to the outfit. They instantly make it look done up. Harry Styles actually has a huge influence to why I wanted them, because he's always just wearing jeans and a shirt but when he puts on the boots, it instantly look like he thought of his outfit! Also, I love street style and booties are a key essential to pull of the street style look!

Macy's

AHHHHHHH!!!! I love ONE DIRECTION! And to be able to lay my hands on these bad boys are amazing! Funny story *maybe not* When samples of the perfume started to come out on magazines, I would rip them out and save them *I have 4 of them* and put them by my bed side, because I thought I would never ever actually smell it and let alone own one! But hey! Now I do! And that's all thanks to my mommy! Thanks Mom. It was her birthday present for me!
